Cruising Altitudes

by Chris Page

/

about

Written and recorded at The Las Vanier Haus of Fuzz, November 2023.

lyrics

The purple sunset factory
Is melting in your eyes
Let’s both sit here and
Wait until Spring arrives.

You languish near my aching heart
And bubble up for fun
And pass no judging words
On what I’ve become.

So now I know
We’re just old souls
At cruising altitudes
Where we probably shouldn’t go
There’s too much love
To give a heart a shove
And feel irresponsible.

You bust out hyper welcoming
And bounce into my hands
The figment bursts of
My imagination stands.

Because I
Won’t fight
If you just lie there in my folded arms tonight
The little sins of
Needles and pins
Are overly emotional.

Let it be known
We just old souls
At cruising altitudes
Where we probably shouldn’t go
There’s too much love
To give a heart a shove
And not be responsible.
