Lost Love In Semitones (Where will you be Saturday night?)

by Chris Page

about

This is the 'Saturday night' version of "Lost Love In Semitones", a follow up to the song I released recently.  Saturday night, because it's a stripped down, sped up, electric version.

If you helped me raise funds for Cornerstone Women's Housing and Shepherd's of Good Hope by purchasing the 'Sunday morning' version, you already have a download code for this one in your inbox.

Thanks for the support and thanks for listening.

LYRICS:

Blasting bass of Mike Watt’s vintage grooves
It’s the only record she’s got with D Boon
And her harmonies lit fire to the room.

I got chills when she spoke in semitones
With a last bit of whiskey and smoke in my headphones
Then sometime in the deep night I went home.

I’ll be carving my way through the dawn
That lone voice stuck in my head lingers on
Cause it’s too late to regret what we’ve done.

Sunrise and no sleep, lost boy scout
But you’ve got all next week to figure this out

Her denim jacket fits great for borrowed threads
Her love songs carry me home to my bed
And it’s Greetings to the New Brunette.

It’s a hardened heart I’m leaning on.
